Journal LIVE! 2005, the EPC DevCon was the first-ever developers conference
focused on the identification and development of applications utilizing
the Electronic Product Code (EPC) and Radio Frequency Identification

gathered to discuss how these technologies can be applied to practical,
real-world solutions for inventory, asset and supply chain management
solutions.
Highlights from the day included:

RFID projects of major retailers and suppliers. Each provided
insight into how these companies are identifying business processes
that will drive efficiencies in their supply chains.
- Technical and business
panels of leading practitioners in developing requirements for EPC/RFID
application development.
- Discussions on early
ROI opportunities through Asset Management
- EPC/RFID data security
through a secure framework providing authentication, encryption and
access controls

of EPCglobal Network core components (e.g.ONS)
